The Bratz - a line of highly sexualized dolls for girls as young as four are - being marketed in schools by Scholastic, Inc. Scholastic promotes Bratz through its book fairs and book clubs, selling titles such as Lil' Bratz Dancin Divas; Lil' Bratz Catwalk Cuties; and Lil' Bratz Beauty Sleepover Bash to a captive audience of young students.
The Bratz - whose wardrobes include miniskirts, fishnet stockings, and bikinis - were recently singled out the by American Psychological Association for contributing to the sexualization of young girls. Please tell Richard Robinson, President and CEO of Scholastic Inc., that commercially- driven, sexualized stereotypes have no place in schools.

I may be a strong unassisted homebirth advocate but birth options and freedoms are very important to me. As a Missouri resident the Midwifery debate in Missouri is of great importantance to me. Missouri is one of only nine remaining states in which midwifery is illegal. Missouri is the only state in which midwifery is a felony. In short the writer of the Old Schoolhouse Magazine magazine and homeschool blogger supports "the Pearls", a evangelical minister and his wife who recommended using plumbing supply lines to spank misbehaving children.
"... The Rod is a piece of plumbing line, about 18 inches in length, used to routinely whip children from the age of infancy. Parents are instructed to whip their infants daily to teach them submissiveness from the very start of life. They also recommend putting one Rod in each room of the house as a reminder to children of what will happen should they misbehave."
In their book the Pearls advocate pulling an infant's hair, "thumping" a toddler and daily routine whippings of infants, toddlers and preschoolers to teach them to be submissive. They encourage parents to begin whipping their children 10 times several times a day when the child is still an infant to begin forcing a child to become submissive,
